Christian MusicPsalms 89:1-4 ( KJV ) 1 I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations. 2 For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens. 3 I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant, 4 Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah

I read this psalm this morning and a song immediately popped into my head. It is “I Could Sing of Your Love Forever”.  I have included a video below for you to sing along with, it includes lyrics. Here is a little more about the song.

This is one of those songs that sticks in your head. It is quite repetitive but brings a great message. The song was written by the Christian group from England named “Delirious?”. It was released on Sonicflood’s debut album in 1999 and in 2001 in the UK it became one of Delerious’s numerous top 40 singles and it was also listed at CCLI as one of the top 30 most sung songs in the United States of America. Many, many other bands have covered this song. I find it interesting to note that although written and released on several of their albums, Delirious’s version did not become the most popular; instead Sonicflood took that position. Switchfoot and tobyMac are a couple of the other artists that recorded and performed this song as well.

I especially love the way the Martins sing this song, check out this video and ♪♫♪ SING ♫♪♫

I linked up this article over at On Your Heart Tuesdays and We Encourage. Take a look around at the other links over there, you will be blessed.

Hello Joy, Welcome to the USA! Actually Christianity Every Day is published in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. I love getting new readers from across the globe. You have done very well with English and I appreciate how difficult my native tongue can be. I have taught the language to young people in the past and our grammar rules sometimes do not make any sense at all. So glad you dropped in. Like you I am encouraged by comments and inspired to write more. I hope you have a lovely day … or I suppose a good night’s rest by now over here.
