A few weeks ago I was contacted by Easy Canvas Prints to ask if I was interested in reviewing their product. Well, being as I am a Grammy and love photos, I could not resist. You may also know that I have a daughter who has married into a family of professional photographers, so I had that resource at my hands as well. EasyCanvasPrints gave me a complimentary 16″ x 20″ print with the photo of my choice since I agreed to do a review of their product. They will also send a free 8″ x 10″ canvas print to the winner of my give away which begins on 7/24/13 and runs through 8/7/13.
I started with:
Asking my daughter for a great photo that would work for this 16″ x 20″ canvas print. She sent me this one:
First of all I was thrilled with the original photo because those just happen to be some of my grand babies who live far away. So now I was really excited to continue with my process of ordering my Easy Canvas Print.
Placing My Order:
The order process held true to the name “Easy”. I am not at all photo savvy so when I went to the Easy Canvas Prints web site to place my order I was delighted to be led through the whole process. The navigation is simple and very self explanatory. Quite frankly, in my opinion, the site is pretty to look at and easy to use, right from the very first thing you see:
I thought I might get confused when it started to ask what kind of wrap I wanted and such, but then all I had to do was click on the option to get more information on it. They even have an Idea Gallery online, in case you are not feeling very creative as you are placing your order – why reinvent the wheel, right?
So you start by designing your photo and once you have chosen your desired size you are given the option to upload your photo — it may be a PNG, JPG, GIF, BMP, or TIF files — mine was a JPG. Once the upload is complete you will be given an image quality rating of poor, fair or good. Mine was rated as good — which I expected since Marie shot it
If you prefer to have your photo framed you may choose that for an additional cost. Also included in the ordering process are options to order and easel back (is you want to have the photo displayed on a surface) or the standard brass hanger for displaying the photo on a wall.; the brass hanger was included in the price. Additionally, you can choose color or sepia as an option but since my original was a black and white print I stuck with that.
Next you select your Border Option and you can choose from Mirror, Image or just plain Border. I chose Border. What I really like about this option was you can adjust the size of your photo here so if when it displays you think you might need to move it up, down or from side to side you can do it or just tell it to auto adjust. Very nice feature!
As you click <Continue> you get to the screen that allows you to select some addition options for an added cost. For example, you can choose to go Black & White or Sepia from a color photo and you can even retouch the photo. Since I was happy with my original photo I added no additional finishing or retouching. And now I was ready to add the product to my cart. I was presented a pop-up to order a better wall mount for a fee — I declined and moved on.
Since I liked what I saw on the summary to the items in my cart page I continued to checkout where it was very easy to enter my credit card information. Now since I received a complimentary photo I did not need to complete this information, but to me it appeared to be as easy as any other online merchant page to complete. Of course, you could have also chosen to continue shopping and add more to your cart too before your order was complete.
All-in-all, ordering my canvas print was effortless and as I said earlier – EASY!
I placed my order on 7/4/12 and I was promised to receive it by 7/23/13. I was happy when Easy Canvas Prints exceeded my expectations and my photo was delivered on 7/21/13.
Is My Easy Canvas Print What I Expected?
It arrived via UPS and the box had a “Fragile” sticker on it. Before I opened the box I noticed that it seemed like someone ignored that “Fragile” sticker because one of the corners of the box was damaged. I was hopeful that the damage did not go beyond the box and into my print.
I was thankful to see that Easy Canvas Prints had done a great job at packing my print because it was protected from those that disregarded the sticker. There was no damage whatsoever to my print.
As I looked over the product I found that they took great care when they stapled the canvas to the inner wooden frame and the brass wall hanger was perfectly placed.
I found a great place in my living room for this precious photo and I just know when you go to order your own canvas prints you will be just as delighted. Here are some shots of the finished product:
And here is what these precious babies look like on my wall:
